DJI Kicks seems to be the name of the next in the series of mini drones from DJI.
DJI certainly has applied for the trademark on the name "Kicks" a few weeks ago, and now we get so leaked photos of what it's probably going to look like.
We have gathered all the info it has been possible to get hold of on DJI's KICKS here:
- The size should be around 150 x 130 mm – so diagonally approximately 200 mm
- It is charged via USB
- The underside of the battery seems to have a (magnetic?) connection, such as. on to Apple Watch
- There is sensors for anti-collision on the underside
- The can as Mavic is controlled both via remote and smartphone
- It will have the same GPS system (GPS + Glonass) as MAVIC
- 2-axis gimbal
- Can probably be used with DJI Google
- DJI Kicks will have Sports mode via the remote
- Foldable propeller at ca. 12 cm
- The frame is built in strong plastic, probably as on the old 450/550 Flame Wheel, which was very solid.
- Possibly two lenses (Telephoto and zoom) as the camera opening is oval.
- DJI Kicks will be a competitor to Yuneec Breeze.
- It will probably get Active Trak technology.
- 4 k video and 12MP photos.
- Most drones in this weight class can fly 10-15 min. then it will probably have about 15 min. flight time.
- Directed with customers who want to make "selfies".
- Launches probably here for the summer.
- We guess that the price will be around DKK 6,000 for a drone with extra batteries and accessories, and us $4,500 for drone with a single battery.
DJI SPARK - a very small and compact drone
What is your opinion of DJI KICKS? It will be a hit among first-time buyers or have the other applications?
